Strive for Perfection

One of 9,000+ Seventh-day Adventist schools around the world

Principal’s message

Tai Po Sam Yuk Secondary School (TPSY) has, since its establishment in 1956, been faithfully serving the young people and the community of the northern New Territories. This well-founded tradition of service enables us to hold our heads high. At the same time it drives us to reach out more widely and serve with an even stronger commitment.

TPSY is a Christian school. Therefore, we are always on our knees as we look for innovative ideas and methods of application in order to make continual progress as a service provider in the education field.

Every academic year is an exciting adventure as students fill our campus with their vision and vivacity. TPSY is a keen practitioner of Invitational Education because it is our firm belief that what students see, hear, and sense from their teachers goes a long way in determining who they are and then in turn what they share with the world.

If teachers and parents work together every day in conscientiously reflecting the noblest of human behavior, giving the best of ourselves, and communicating positive Christian experience, our students will certainly benefit from us directly as well as indirectly. They will thus be equipped for a life journey that is not only fruitful but also one which they will find highly joyful and rewarding.

Every previous batch of students has given us much to celebrate, to remember and to be thankful for. The present group is doing the same for the boys and girls are teachable, respectful and motivated. I wish to humbly affirm to you that our students have been making a concerted effort to achieve excellence in all areas: academic, physical, social and spiritual. Positive self-esteem and confidence, hope and expectation pervade every activity.

We applaud these young people and you, dear parents, have good reasons to be joyfully proud of your children. I look forward to a sustained and cooperative endeavour with you.
